Our Engineer and Design Practitioner are registered with the NSW Building Commission under the Design and Building Practitioners (DBP) Act, ensuring all work is fully compliant, professional, and legally authorised for Class 2 buildings.
Only Registered Practitioners Can Legally Work on Class 2 Buildings
Not all engineers or inspectors are qualified to work on regulated designs or construction for Class 2 buildings (such as apartments or townhouses). Under the Design and Building Practitioners Act 2020, any design, inspection, or certification related to these buildings must be carried out by professionals who are registered with the NSW Building Commission.
Without this registration:
Engineers cannot legally prepare or lodge regulated designs.
Inspectors cannot sign off on compliance for building work under the DBP Act.
Any work performed may be non-compliant, exposing the project to legal, financial, and safety risks.
